"I have been doing CrossFit for a year now and I have to say, it has been one of the best things in my life!  I have played sports through college and CrossFit 222 is unlike any other gym I have been too.  The workouts are challenging every day, but I feel myself progressing every day.  Amira, Jenn, and Justin are amazing coaches and have turned working out into a whole new level.  The environment is beyond amazing; the gym is so friendly and family orientated and I truly believe we challenge and encourage each other!  The best part about CrossFit is anyone can start at anytime.  You don't have to be "in shape" or know how to do all the movements to start. I have never done CrossFit before, didn't know much about it at all, but now it is part of my lifestyle and I have never felt better. "

"I was always skinny growing up but after leaving the army I stated to see the tell tale signs on upcoming obesity, the ever enlarged beer gut, the shortness of breath on walks, and of course the snuggness of pants which were once kind of loose.  While I liked to test my ever declining body with mud runs, 5 k/s, hikes I have never, even at my fittest, been one to go to the gym, on a day, month, or yearly basis.  Luckily there was something new to try out if only for a short time.  CrossFit 222 opened and I figured I would treat it like the other things, conquer it gasping the entire time and be done with it in a week. However I did not count on two things, the first, it made me like working out, whether it be lifting weights or long cardio workouts, I was enjoying the variety and the constant ever expanding skills you unlock. The second thing is the people, while I was there when the gym first opened and we were all beginners, we still competed and congratulated on a daily basis and I have seen those same beginners move on and are now the people I see chatting with everyone, making everyone feel comfortable, and most importantly letting them know we all started as a puddle of sweat on the floor (and are still a puddle of sweat on the floor on a daily basis).  The work is hard, the results are real, and the people are people who have similar goals as you... plus you get to pick up and put down heavy things which will make a great profile pic!  I thanks Amira and everyone at CrossFit 222 for making my health and fitness goals not only obtainable but enjoyable.

"I was so intimidated to try CorssFit. I though you needed to know everything before you started and there wasn't room for a new athlete.  Wrong, wrong, Wrong!  CrossFit 222 is the perfect box. They take time to correct form, teach you what you need to know and make you feel comfortable.  Everyone is so welcoming, and we encourage each other to push our limits and grow as individuals.  I am so thankful for this place.  I have found a new love, a new drive and I feel so empowered.  As a mother of three with basically two full time jobs, excuses are not an option.  I have to be healthy in order to keep up with everyone and CrossFit 222 offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday classes which is PERFECT!  Amira and Jen are so kind and are SO strong, they are wonderful coaches and have an easier way of teaching new skills than previous places I worked with. This could no be any better. I love this place!

Eight months ago today I did my first WOD at CrossFit 222's Grand Opening.  I signed up that day and its the best thing I have ever done for myself!  I love the fact that each workout can be modified and individualized, so each person can complete it and get the most out of it.  I am not the strongest or the fastest, but I am improving myself every day.  I also feel confident working out next to someone who is the strongest, the fastest and 15 years younger than me, because Amira has created an  atmosphere of support, teamwork, and family.   I have struggled with my weight since my son  was born 10 years ago.  I had fit my "rock bottom" when I walked in the door of CrossFit 222 the first time.  These workouts and a healthy diet have helped me lose about 45lbs (only 2lbs of lean body mass) and 4 pant sizes.  As happy as I am with this accomplishment, I am even happier that I have found something that I truly love.  I look forward to going to the gym, pushing myself, and achieving new goals.  The absolute best thing is when my son high-fives me at the end and tells me that he is proud of me!

"I had just turned 50 and needed to make a change in my fitness program.  I was a runner who "tolerated" lifting weights.  On top of that, my running had become stagnate.  Having watched a coworker who had been doing CrossFit 22 make a huge lifestyle improvement, I started asking him about his gym.  This conversation was the start of something really good!  He gave me the info to get me started and I contacted Amira about setting up my first foundations class.  We met for the first class and instantly I could tell she was concerned about teaching me the right way to perform the different lifts.  She got me through the foundation classes and now it was time to take the step and start going to classes.  It was intimidating to think that the new guy had to walk into a gym with people that had been doing Crossfit for a long time. That was the farthest thing from the truth.  I can honestly say CrossFit 222 felt like a family from day 1!  Introductions were made and people were eager to help with setup as well as motivation and high fives when the workout was complete.  I have been to a few different times and across the board the other members made me feel at home.
